The Local 1549
Advancement Fund is a member benefit-based initiative allowing for
the reimbursement of Civil Service Exam Fees, with restrictions, to
Local 1549 members.
The Guidelines are as
follows:
1. Applicant must be a
current member of Local 1549 for at least three (3) years;
2. The member must submit
the receipt indicating payment of the exam fee;
3. The member must take
and PASS the exam;
4. After fulfilling the
above requirements, the member shall be entitled to reimbursement
upon submitting the OFFICIAL NOTICE OF RESULT, indicating a passing
score;
5. The member shall be
reimbursed for the cost of ONE (1) exam fee.
Members who meet and
complete all requirements prior to September of a given year, will
receive reimbursement by November of that year. Any member missing
the September deadline, will receive reimbursement by November of
the following year

All disputes will
be resolved by the Local's Advancement Fund Committee. All decisions
of the Committee are final. Local 1549 reserves the right to
discontinue this program without advance notice.
