| The mission of the Local 1549 Next Wave Committee is to promote the labor movement by supporting all of the principles and ideals of A.F.S.C.M.E., District Council 37 and Local 1549; to organize younger union members by engaging, educating, mentoring and empowering them to take action; to prepare future union leaders to communicate, rally, lobby, utilize letter writing and phone banking, organize and take other necessary actions; to organize grassroots campaigns to build stronger bonds between the union and communities; to build members’ sense of pride and dignity through encouragement, professionalism, respect, accomplishment and teamwork; to recruit others and make a commitment to the labor movement - "Each One Teach One and Each One Must Bring One." | ||
